The D-Link 10G SFP+ Module Series are hot-swappable transceivers that plug into SFP+ ports on switches and provide 10Gb/s Ethernet networks. D-Link's 10G SFP+ Module Series transceivers offer users extensive connectivity to 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks and are designed for data centers, premises, switching equipment, and telecom service providers.
"Hot" connection
All D-Link transceivers are hot pluggable. Connecting the transceiver to a powered device will not cause any problems. This allows you to connect or disconnect transceivers without interrupting the rest of the network.
Speed 10 Gbps
The transceivers are designed to operate on 10-gigabit Ethernet networks, which allows for very fast data transfer. A tenfold increase over 1 Gbps allows the switch to process data streams faster and in greater volume.
Bidirectional (WDM) technology
Bi-directional (WDM) technology allows data to be received and transmitted over a single fiber using two different wavelengths. This helps save on the cost of deploying additional fiber optic cables, and also provides more flexible bandwidth allocation.
