Equipment of fuel and energy complex control rooms
Dispatch centers and central dispatch services of fuel and energy complex enterprises monitor and control power supply to production centers and municipal facilities around the clock.
The central receiving and transmitting station (CTS) of the dispatching point (DP) is the center of this system. It receives all incoming operational information, monitors the state of the power grid and makes the necessary decisions.

The main working tool of the dispatchers is the automatic remote control system (ADCS).

Today the issue of modernization of old telemechanics systems, operating on analog systems, with modern, digital equipment came to the fore. Such modernization allows to handle an increased range of tasks much faster and more efficiently, as well as raises the status of production, which is important in a market economy.
room equipment
Digital modernization of the control center. Main equipment systems
The set of equipment to be installed includes the following systems:
  • Video display system
  • Audio system
  • Control system
  • Switching system
  • Power supply system
  • Technological furniture and fixtures
Video display system
The video display system of the dispatch center consists of a dynamic dispatch panel based on a video wall and personal monitors at the workplaces of the dispatch personnel.
  • video wall based on professional displays
  • video controller
  • switchboard network control panels
  • Dispatcher's workstation (dispatcher console)
  • Video wall
The seamless video wall displays cartographic, schematic, textual information, photographs and video images.
What can be displayed on the video wall
(As an example of a video wall for the dispatch center for monitoring the status of the power supply network in the fields (oil/gas).
  • Power supply scheme with a breakdown by power nodes (substations - power suppliers), voltage levels and areas of operational responsibility.
  • Overhead transmission lines, substations, switchgear, autonomous sources.
  • Graphs of current and voltage by facility. Including deviations of measured currents, voltages from the specified value range.
  • Color palette of voltage levels (color palette).
  • Output of the event log, including from remote workstations.
  • Change of switching equipment positions.
  • Signals of triggering of alarms and intruder alarms.
From where and in what form the information is displayed on the video wall
  • through the local network from the working place of the shift supervisor
  • from the working place of the shift supervisor to the video wall and to the monitors of dispatchers
  • from individual monitors of shift supervisors
Additional display options
  • ability to display on a video wall in separate windows of remote workstation screens by transmitting video information via local network
  • Possibility of displaying single-line diagrams of connections and maps of relay protection and automation installations in a separate window by means of additional items of the context menu

Control of information output to the video wall
Depending on a selected scenario, the information output to the video wall is controlled. Including it can be organized in multi-window mode or remotely.
Access to the display system is carried out according to the allocation of user rights (full access, allocation of authority levels, selection of available templates and scripts, transmission of desktop images, etc.).
Audio playback system
The audio playback system in energy dispatch centers most often plays an auxiliary role. Its main task is to duplicate the signals displayed on the main screen, which is a video wall:
  • audio information about the receipt of important messages
  • actuation of alarm sensors
  • employee notification
As the main sound transmitting medium, reliable loudspeaker systems are selected together with a simple sound processing mixer, as a rule.
Some control centers require installation of video conference system (VCS). Its main purpose here is emergency communication with remote control centers and central units.
Control system
Video wall server

The core of the video wall control system of the control center is a dedicated video wall server. It provides multiple inputs and outputs for signal sources to provide a multi-screen video display.

Video wall server installs special software that allows you to display a video wall mnemonic schemes.

Video server does not use image compression algorithms and allows you to output video streams without loss of the original signal, with maximum quality.
Switching system
  • Amplifiers-distributors of audio and video signals
  • Signal scalers and format converters (converters), interface extenders and repeaters
  • Switches and Matrix Switches, Network Panel Control Switches
  • Patch Wires
Technological furniture and fixtures
  • Video Wall Mounts
Professional video wall mounts ensure easy assembly of the video wall; easy access to individual video panels when they need to be replaced; minimal joint between the panels, which is important for the perception of the information reflected on the video wall.
Automated workplaces (AWS) of dispatchers are designed for a particular object; individual wishes of working specialists can be taken into account.
  • Dispatcher's desk (possibly with electric height adjustment) with cable channels for connection of office equipment and workplace equipment.
  • Specialized chairs designed for prolonged sitting.
  • Cabinet with a compartment for the system unit with drawers, desk top.
  • Desktop mounts for monitors.
  • Telecommunication cabinets.
Certification of control center equipment systems
  • All equipment installed in the dispatch center is subject to mandatory certification for compliance with industrial and fire safety standards.
  • Certification of all technical means, materials and equipment for use on the territory of the Russian Federation
Stages of the project implementation
All work on equipping the control center can be divided into three major stages: coordination and design, equipment delivery and installation, and service maintenance.
Designing
Design stage begins after discussion of all details with customer. It includes complete engineering calculations and preparation of working documentation according to all existing standards.

Project working documentation:
  • structural diagram
  • wiring diagram of external wiring
  • equipment layout and wiring plan
  • Cable log (table of connections and wiring)
  • Layout of equipment in the rack
  • bill of materials and equipment
  • single line circuit diagram
  • system test program and procedure
  • user (administrator) manual
When the technical solution is defined and agreed upon, you make the final selection of equipment and calculate the cost of work.
