Video walls
Video walls are large screens composed of several smaller screens, which can display a single video image, as well as several images simultaneously from different information sources and the required scale.

Parameters of video wall classification:
  • By type of elements used
  • By size
  • By mounting type
  • By configuration form
  • By the width of the joint between the panels
  • By brightness

Video walls - an overview of the most important features
Video walls based on professional LCD displays
Video walls composed of professional LCD displays (LCD panels) are the most common and popular solution.

Advantages:
thanks to the modular principle of construction you can assemble video walls of any size
Ease of maintenance and repair (in case of failure of a panel, it can be quickly replaced)
a wide range of operating temperatures
color and brightness calibration function
24/7 operation capability
easy installation
Video walls based on multimedia projectors
An important advantage of video walls obtained by "stitching" video images from multiple multimedia projectors is the complete absence of seams between the images broadcast on the video wall.

Fields of application:
  • building virtual video walls indoors
  • 3D modeling
  • visualization of complex engineering solutions
  • video mapping
One solution to this technology is to place multimedia projectors behind the screen cloth. In this case there is no danger of interference (that something will get in the beam between the multimedia projector and the screen) and a full video wall effect is created in the main room.
Video walls based on video cubes
Projection technology allows you to display on the video wall, composed of video cubes, an image of very high resolution and therefore - quality. 1920x1080 (16:9), 1400x1050 (4:3), 1024x768 (4:3) are the traditional projection module resolutions. Video wall, formed from video cubes, provides a good seamless image.

Advantages:
Video cubes have a very small seam (the distance between the images formed by individual video wall modules) - less than 1 mm, so that it is almost invisible to the eye
High image resolution of the video wall

disadvantages:
Video walls formed from video cubes are somewhat inferior in brightness to video walls from LCD displays
higher cost of such solution
Video walls based on LED screens
Video walls made up of LED modules originally served the field of outdoor advertising, but with the development of technology are increasingly being used for indoor installations as well.

Benefits of LED video walls:
  • Such video walls are characterized by high brightness and readability of the image from a long distance, and even in sunlight.
  • Thanks to the expressed idea of modular design (LED block or module is the basis), you can create video walls of any size and geometry (even on uneven surfaces).
  • Unpretentiousness, reliability, long service life, energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
  • Rezemoprigodnost (failed LED module, due to its relatively small size, you can quickly and easily change. And, in case of failure of one of the modules, the video wall will continue to work.
Mobile Video Walls
Mobile video walls are primarily needed where the configuration of the space needs to be changed. A classic example is the transformer room, which is rented out. Both conferences and receptions are held there. At each event the means of display can be changed, but fixed video walls do not allow to do that. Exactly for this purpose video wall is mounted on a special chassis, thanks to which it can be easily moved around the hall.
