DXS-1210-28T

Featuring 24 10GBase-T ports and four 25GBase-X SFP28 ports, the DXS-1210-28T customizable switch delivers up to 25 Gbps of traffic and is designed for use in the aggregation/access layers of enterprise networks or in the core layer of small to medium businesses (SMBs). By combining 10GBase-T ports and SFP28 ports, the DXS-1210-28T provides extensive connectivity options, thus simplifying network integration. With its high performance, this switch enables services such as cloud services, virtualization, and server-to-server applications.

Energy saving
Thanks to technology D-Link Green switch DXS-1210-28T allows you to save energy without compromising performance and functionality. The DXS-1210-28T is equipped with temperature sensors and intelligent fans which are able to change the speed of rotation depending on the temperature, which saves energy and reduces noise. The switch also detects the connection status of each port and automatically suspends inactive ports. The DXS-1210-28T uses a chipset to significantly reduce power consumption.

Layer 2 features
The DXS-1210-28T offers a full suite of Layer 2 features, including Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). In addition, the switch has cable diagnostics and Loopback Detection, which allow administrators to quickly and easily locate and correct network problems. Loopback Detection is used to detect loops and automatically shuts down the port where a loopback is detected. Cable Diagnostics are used to identify the type of cable faults.

Auto Surveillance VLAN and Bandwidth Management
The DXS-1210-28T supports Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) and Auto Voice VLAN and is ideal for VoIP and video surveillance deployments. Auto Surveillance VLAN is a technology that delivers video and data services over a single switch, thereby reducing the cost associated with purchasing additional equipment. ASV also provides quality real-time video viewing and management without affecting the normal network data traffic. Automatic detection of connected VoIP equipment enables "voice" traffic to be placed on a dedicated VLAN. With maximum priority and individual VLANs, this feature ensures the quality and security of VoIP traffic. DSCP marks Ethernet packets by assigning different service levels to network traffic. As a result, voice and video traffic are given higher priority than other types of traffic. In addition, bandwidth management allows network administrators to reserve bandwidth for different bandwidth-hungry applications, or give them maximum priority.

Network security
The D-Link Safeguard Engine feature provides an effective mechanism to protect the switch from viruses and malicious traffic. 802.1X port authentication allows the use of an external RADIUS server for user authentication. In addition, the Access Control Lists (ACL) feature enhances network security by filtering out traffic originating from unauthorized MAC/IP addresses. The DXS-1210-28T also supports ARP Spoofing, which protects the network from attacks that can alter or delay traffic by sending spoofed ARP messages. In order to prevent ARP Spoofing attacks, the switch uses access control lists to block packets containing false ARP messages. To enhance the security, the DHCP Server Screening feature denies access to unauthorized DHCP servers.

Convenient management
The DXS-1210-28T switch supports management with the D-Link Network Assistant utility. This utility automatically detects and displays D-Link Smart Series switches belonging to the same L2 network segment. With this utility, the user does not need to change the IP address of his computer, which simplifies the initial installation of the switch. Advanced configuration and basic configuration of detected devices, such as password changes and software updates, are available to the user. The DXS-1210-28T switch also supports D-View 7 software and a complete command-line interface (CLI). D-View 7 is a network management system that allows you to manage the most important parameters such as availability, reliability, flexibility, and security.
