Description Bidirectional SFP transceivers DEM-220T and DEM-220R (paired) for a single-mode optical cable are designed to connect to the SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) ports of network devices in order to receive and transmit data over a fiber optic cable. These transceivers are made in a compact package and provide high-speed and reliable data transmission over long distances up to 20 km, as well as ease of installation. The ideal solution for long distance applications The DEM-220T and DEM-220R transceivers can be used to interconnect switches, servers and optical modules in educational institutions or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) networks. Providing data transmission over fiber optic cable at a distance of up to 20 km, these transceivers provide operation with minimal signal distortion and no loss of performance over long optical communication channels.
Reliable data transfer The DEM-220T and DEM-220R transceivers receive and transmit data over a single fiber using two different wavelengths. These transceivers are used in pairs. On one side, the transceiver uses one wavelength to transmit and a second wavelength to receive data. On the other side, the second transceiver works in reverse.
Compliance The DEM-220T and DEM-220R transceivers use a standard simplex connector (LC connector) to connect fiber optic cable and comply with industry standards. The transceivers are hot pluggable. Connecting the transceiver to a powered device will not cause any problems. This allows transceivers to be connected or disconnected without disrupting the rest of the network, facilitating maintenance and greatly reducing downtime.
