Description
The DEM-211 SFP transceiver for multi-mode optical cable is designed to be installed in the SFP port (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) of a network device in order to receive and transmit data over fiber optic cables. This transceiver is designed in a compact package and provides reliable data transmission at a speed of 200 Mbps in full duplex mode, using a wavelength of 1310 nm, over long distances up to 2 km (cable 50/125 microns) or up to 1 km (cable 62.5 /125 µm), as well as ease of installation.
The DEM-211 transceiver uses a standard duplex connector (LC connector) to connect fiber optic cables. DEM-211 complies with MSA agreements and RoHS directive. All D-Link transceivers are hot pluggable. Connecting the transceiver to a powered device will not cause any problems. This allows the transceiver to be connected or disconnected without interrupting the rest of the network, facilitating maintenance and greatly reducing downtime.
