Description The DEM-330R and DEM-330T bidirectional gigabit SFP transceivers (work in pairs) for single-mode optical cable are designed for installation in SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) ports of network devices in order to receive and transmit data over fiber optic cable. These transceivers are made in a compact package and provide high-speed and reliable data transmission over distances up to 3 km (DEM-330R/3KM and DEM-330T/3KM) or 10 km (DEM-330R/10KM and DEM-330T/10KM), as well as ease of installation. The DEM-330R/10KM and DEM-330T/10KM transceivers work in pairs. The DEM-330R/3KM and DEM-330T/3KM transceivers work in pairs.
The ideal solution for applications at various distances The DEM-330R and DEM-330T transceivers can be used to interconnect switches, servers and optical modules in educational networks or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) networks. Providing data transmission over fiber optic cable at distances up to 3 km (DEM-330R/3KM and DEM-330T/3KM) or 10 km (DEM-330R/10KM and DEM-330T/10KM), these transceivers provide operation with minimal signal distortion and without loss of performance on long optical communication channels.
Reliable data transfer The DEM-330R and DEM-330T transceivers receive and transmit data over a single fiber using two different wavelengths. These transceivers are used in pairs. On one side, the transceiver uses one wavelength to transmit and a second wavelength to receive data. On the other side, the second transceiver works in reverse.
Compliance The DEM-330R and DEM-330T transceivers use a standard simplex connector (LC connector for DEM-330R/10KM and DEM-330T/10KM or SC connector for DEM-330R/3KM and DEM-330T/3KM) to connect fiber optic cable. They comply with industry standards and are compatible with D-Link gigabit switches. All D-Link transceivers are hot pluggable. Connecting the transceiver to a powered device will not cause any problems. This allows transceivers to be connected or disconnected without disrupting the rest of the network, facilitating maintenance and greatly reducing downtime.
