Easy integration into existing network and investment protection The DMS-1100-10TP switch supports the IEEE 802.3bz 2.5GBase-T standard, which allows you to transfer data at speeds up to 2.5 Gbps using category 5e cables over a distance of up to 100 m. Using IEEE 802.3bz technology, DMS-1100 -10TP improves the efficiency of existing cabling infrastructure, realizing the full benefits of 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless access points and significantly increasing bandwidth while maintaining user investment and meeting the demands of tomorrow. Backwards compatible with the IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T standard, this switch can easily be integrated into an existing Gigabit Ethernet network.
Level 2 features The DMS-1100-10TP switch supports a full set of Layer 2 features including Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). In addition, the switch supports cable diagnostics and Loopback Detection, allowing administrators to quickly and easily troubleshoot network problems. The Loopback Detection function is used to detect loops and automatically disable the port where a loop is detected. The cable diagnostic function is designed to determine the type of cable failure.
Convenient management The DMS-1100-10TP switch supports management using the D-Link Network Assistant utility. This utility automatically detects and displays D-Link Smart series switches that belong to the same L2 network segment. Thanks to this utility, the user does not need to change the IP address of his computer, which simplifies the initial installation of the Switch. The user has access to advanced configuration and basic settings for detected devices, such as changing the password and updating the software. The DMS-1100-10TP switch also supports D-View 7. D-View 7 is a network management system that allows you to manage the most important parameters such as uptime, reliability, flexibility and security.
Power over Ethernet 8 ports of this switch support the IEEE 802.3at PoE standard. Each PoE port delivers up to 30W of power for a total switch budget of 240W, allowing users to connect 802.3at compliant access points and network cameras to the DMS-1100-10TP. This allows you to place equipment in hard-to-reach places, regardless of the location of electrical outlets and minimize cabling.
