The DGS-1210-26 managed Layer 2 switch, equipped with 24 10/100/1000Base-T ports and 2 1000Base-X SFP ports, supports D-Link Green technology and advanced management and security functions, providing high performance and network scaling. Management functions include SNMP, Web-based management, and command-line interface (CLI) via Telnet and SSH. This switch is equipped with a passive cooling system, which ensures silent operation and allows you to extend the life of the device.
Level 2 functions
The DGS-1210-26 switch supports a full set of Layer 2 functions, including IGMP Snooping, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). The IEEE 802.3x flow control function allows you to optimize the load on the switch to increase the reliability of data transmission. Supporting speeds on each of the ports up to 2000 Mbit/s in full duplex mode, the switch provides the high performance needed to connect workstations. The switch supports the cable diagnostics function and the Loopback Detection function. The Loopback Detection function is used to detect loops and automatically disable the port on which the loop is detected. The cable diagnostics function is designed to determine the state of the twisted pair, as well as the type of cable malfunction.
Protection against static electricity
All Ethernet ports support built-in protection against static electricity up to 6 kV. It ensures the stability of the copper ports to the induced voltage and prevents damage to the switch and the devices connected to it.
Network security
The D-Link Safeguard Engine function provides an effective mechanism for protecting the switch from viruses and malicious traffic. Authentication based on the 802.1X port allows you to use an external RADIUS server to authorize users. In addition, the Access Control Lists (ACLs) feature increases network security by filtering out traffic originating from unauthorized MAC/IP addresses.
